APJ Abdul Kalam, a politician and scientist from India who was the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007, was also known as the “Missile Man of India” and the “People’s President.” He was a well-liked leader in Indian history and was born on October 15, 1931, in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu.
Kalam was renowned for his candour, simplicity, and dedication to the Indian people. He fought arduously to advance education and motivate the nation’s youth while supporting the advancement of science and technology in India. His talks and publications continue to motivate millions of young people all around the country because he felt that every youngster has the capacity to become a leader.
While giving a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management Shillong on July 27, 2015, Kalam passed away. His works, talks, and the numerous lives he influenced and inspired continue to carry on his legacy.
