Rolls Royce has made its grand entry into the electric vehicle market in India with the launch of the ultra-luxurious electric car named Rolls Royce Spectre. The initial showroom price for this electric car starts at a whopping 7.5 crore rupees, positioning it between the Cullinan and Phantom models.
In the launch of this electric car, the company has marked its presence in the Indian electric vehicle market. The car is equipped with a 102 kWh battery pack, coupled with two electric motors, one on each axle, providing a combined power output of 585 bhp and a peak torque of 900 Nm. Charging this electric vehicle is quite efficient, with a 195 kW charger enabling a 10-80% charge in just 34 minutes.
Rolls Royce claims an impressive range of 530 kilometers on a single charge for the Spectre. Accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour takes only 4.5 seconds, showcasing the performance capabilities of this luxury electric car.
The Spectre is built on Rolls Royce’s aluminum spaceframe platform, known for its application in luxury architecture. This platform has been used for other Rolls Royce models like Ghost, Cullinan, and Phantom. The car weighs 2,890 kilograms.
The company has enhanced the stiffness of the Spectre by 30%, incorporating a 4-wheel steering system and an active suspension. Rolls Royce has designed the Spectre with timeless elegance and aerodynamic efficiency, featuring a wide front grille, split headlights, Aero-Tuned Spirit of Ecstasy, ultra-slim LED daytime running lights (DRL), bold shoulder lines, sloping roofline, and 23-inch Aero-Tuned wheels.
